Sangria

Sangria

A special drink for a special person.

Would you believe me if I tell you that I have quit drinking for 2 years until I found out about the taste of wine?

I used to be a whiskey fan until one Christmas where I had my first Sangria in a Spanish restaurant in Bellevue. The drink was light, sweet, and loving. After this one glass, I just couldn't forget the taste of it until today.

I only drink wine now. And this is the drink that I always make when I have special people for a special night.

How about you express how much they mean to you by serving this sweet joy and share the emotions together?

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Lemon, sliced
  • 1/2 Lime, sliced
  • 1/2 Crispy Apple, sliced
  • 1/2 Naval Orange, sliced
  • 1/2 Cup of Sugar, Non-centrifugal cane sugar
  • 400 ml of Italian Soda, non-sweet
  • 400 ml of red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon (your choice)

Step 1
In a large pitcher, add all the sliced fruits and sugar. Give it a nice mix.

Step 2
Add the red wine and Italian soda into the pitcher.

Step 3
Mix everything together with a wooden spoon.

Step 4
Seal the head so the oxygen cannot run through, refrigerate for a minimum of 12 hours for the best flavor.

Storage Method:
You can enjoy this drink for up to 7 days in the fridge. I recommend that you take out the fruits in the 3rd or 4th day so it does not get too bitter.
